Quarantine Diary April 4, 2020

Are you all having fun in quarantine, my pretties? Have you exhausted rooms to explore and people to interview?

We are trying to keep things in Maison Martin interesting, but it's getting hard. I do have to say that the two days of watching The Tiger King had us on our toes. That was one wild ride! Now we're waiting for the show about who killed Carole Baskin's husband!

Minh has never seen Star Wars. None of them!! Well, we can't let her leave the USA without being exposed to the world that is Star Wars! We've seen number 4, 5, 6, and 1. Tonight we watch #2.

And, I've decided that the Coronavirus is not a plague sent by the Chinese, but rather one sent by Disney. Because I finally had to breakdown and get Disney Plus because it was cheaper than buying all the Star Wars movies. And, now we have access to all the Marvel movies.

With Disney Plus, I spent a couple of extra bucks to get Hulu, so Patrick and I watched the first episode of The Handmaid's Tale, which he knew nothing about. I think he's hooked. I knew I would be. I read the book way back when I was in college and I recently read The Testaments. And, also, Hulu has Brooklyn 99, which I've wanted to be able to watch.

From reading this, you probably think that we do nothing in our quarantine but watch TV. And, you'd be right.

Patrick and Minh have their school stuff to do. Today is my first day in five days that I don't have a migraine. I knit while I watch TV and listen to audiobooks. We occasionally do enough housework that the house stays straightened and nobody needs to call the health department.

Also, my son got me into Animal Crossing, a video game, so I play that for a little bit every day. It's pretty much just world building. Eventually, I'll be able to go over to his island and he'll be able to visit mine.

We had sunshine today, though, and I don't have a rip-roaring migraine, so I went for a walk!! And I might cook tonight. Something besides sitting in front of a screen! For a few minutes!

Oh, and I went out to Fleet Farm to buy toilet paper, which they didn't have. So, I consoled myself with Easter candy. I'll deal with toilet paper next week.

Hang in there, folks. This crisis will be over eventually! Stay safe!!

Catherine
